Description

A deep, luxurious Peacock Blue. This rich jewel tone forms the base of the entire garment. The pallu features an extremely vibrant and wide-ranging palette, including Hot Pink/Fuchsia, Bright Orange, Aqua Blue, Emerald Green, and Yellow.

Pallu features a complex, wide panel of weaving Meenakari work involving multiple colors. The design is dominated by a lush, all-over floral and foliage pattern in bright contrasting colors. Beneath this botanical layer, there appear to be traditional scenes woven in, possibly featuring elephants, horses, or traditional architecture (like a palace or courtyard scene), creating a vibrant tapestry effect. The pallu is finished with matching teal tassels.

Both the side border and the end border that separates the body from the pallu are heavily woven with Antique Gold Zari. The zari borders feature intricate, dense traditional geometric patterns (such as latticework or geometric floral vines), which provide a balanced, classic finish to the wild colors of the Meenakari pallu.
